Lakeshore Road is the western extension of Toronto's Lake Shore Boulevard and is the southernmost major road in Mississauga and most of Halton Region. It generally follows the northern shore of Lake Ontario from the eastern border of Mississauga, to near the Burlington Skyway Bridge in Burlington.

This road is an alternate route for the Queen Elizabeth Way through Mississauga. Prior to the opening of the QEW in 1939, Lakeshore Road served as the principal route to Oakville, Burlington and Hamilton. It was, in its entirety, part of Highway 2 until this route was formally decommissioned by the province of Ontario in 1998.

The road is served by Mississauga Transit route 23 Lakeshore, which travels from Long Branch station in the east to Clarkson in the west, via Port Credit.
